Would I want to read more books by this author 📚 🤷 Maybe
Trigger Warnings 💣💥Not really

Plot twist 🌪 I suppose so
Tidbits 💻
Day 1 - I'm not sure what I think. It's not cozy, it's actually kind of heavy.
Zoe seems a little immature. She made a promise to her (now dead) mother that she wouldn't practice magic, even though her grandmother was proudly teaching her at a young age. Now, being the end of the line she's the only one who can open the grimoire. Eloise, who was her grandmother's bestie, (so far my favorite character) comes to Zoe as the only one who can help her 'cross over' to the other side. She's been undead for about 30 years.
I also like Olive and her snarky personality. She's another librarian, a magical know-it-all with mysterious powers.
Day 2 - Almost done and now my favorite is Olive!
Zoe was my least favorite. I didn't buy into the romance either. She was clearly attracted to him. I felt like he saw her more as her protector than a love interest.
I enjoyed Olive's magical powers more than Zoe's.
I think I have a girl crush on BadAssOlive!
