💻 Tidbits ~ Don't be fooled by the title, it's not about politics. The Senate's political involvement is a side-story. Sloane's former and current husbands were both senators, so ya, Senator's wife. 
Happily married  Sloane and Robert were friends with not-so-happily married Whit and Peg. Peg and Robert were cousins ​​so a little family connection with the early departed.

Post hip surgery Sloane needs in-home care. Enter Athena who seems to get a little too familiar with Whit as Sloane's health begins to deteriorate. Who is Athena anyway? Why is she snooping around? 

Why is Whit being so attentive while attending to Sloane's every need but trying to get cozy with Athena? 

Sloane is suspicious but can't keep her eyes open between hallucinations. 

But wait, another side-story. Enter Rosemary, Robert's mother and Sloane's former MIL. She doesn't trust Whit. Highly suspicious of this marriage she's doing a little super sleuthing of her own. Now someone is out for her.
You've got to love the MIL still looking out for her son's wife and the family's money.  Who is really the master of manipulation here?  NO SPOILERS!  Seriously, if you want spoilers ask me. I love spoilers!
