Bless Your Heart by Leigh Dunlap

| Very fitting cover of the highfalutin team Moms |
*I'm not the biggest fan of Jeneva Rose. 1 out of 4 is my record with her.
**I've not read/listened to any May Cobb yet but The Hunting Wives is on my holds list.
Genre: Mystery, Thriller
I saw this one advertised by an author I follow on IG. Oh my gosh, there are so many books with this title in GR I had to scroll down to find it and I had to search for it by author on Hoopla!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I'm going to have to go with 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ because I did NOT see it coming! That is very rare for me. Typically there is too much emphasis on this one and not enough on that one. This was a twist!
Overall Enjoyment 🎉
Did it grab and keep my attention? 🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣
Would I recommend it to anyone? Yes ➕ Mostly women though
Would I want a sequel 🕮 🤷 No need for this storyline but maybe a spinoff of the detective.
Would I want to read more books by this author 📚 Yes ➕ This was her debut novel but I wouldn't hesitate to pick her next one, if there IS a next one.
Trigger Warnings 💣💥Murder, Domestic Violence

Plot twist 🌪🌪🌪
Tidbits: The Buckhead Betties are the Little League Moms in an affluent area of Georgia. Old Money, New Money, Dirty Money, toxic relationships. Bless their hearts! I think the author did a good job weaving the social aspects with the murder mystery.
I was listening while cooking dinner last night and Paul came into the kitchen. He stopped on his way by and said "What are you listening to!?!?!" 🤯 I think one of the Betties had just told her husband to go fuck himself!
Several people had motive, like the entire town. Typical. The handsome and charming victim had a lot of enemies. This was a *double* DID NOT SEE IT COMING. And then BOOM! No spoilers!
BTW - One of the reviews I read complained about too many characters and hard to follow. There are five mom's, spouses, ex's, children, a brother of the victim, two detectives. You need to know a little about all of them if you're going to try to solve a murder. I didn't find them hard to follow. Every chapter it told you who it was about and whether it was x number of days before or after the murder.
