Working as a maid on a luxury yacht certainly isn’t Urvi’s idea of a dream job, but she needs money, fast. As a student at the Royal academy, who’s been cut off by her family for choosing music instead of medicine, she needs every penny of the exorbitant fee the powerful advertising executive, Jack Bailey, is willing to pay.

So what if she thought Jack was asking her out but offered her a job instead? So what if she thought they had a connection during all those late night chats they had at the bar where she works? Jack and his mega yacht are clearly more out of her league than she realized. A bit of banter with a barmaid obviously meant nothing to him if the cold shoulder he’s now giving her is anything to go by.

Urvi can’t afford pride if she wants to survive, and, with the way her diabetes control has been lately, survival is fast becoming her number one priority.

The How/Why: Blame it on algorisms. I really liked The Maid (5 star review here) so lots of maid books are being suggested on every platform 'cuz that's how social media works! Even though this one is a rom com and The Maid is a mystery thriller. Who knows. Sometimes its a good thing, other times not so much.
Since it's a quick novella I thought I'd clear my brain waves from mystery/thriller mode while I'm on the next one.

👟 Pace? Okay, probably a little too much time talking about how to control (or not to control) Type 1 Diabetes. Like a LOT of time. 

💻 Tidbits ~ It was cute and cozy but way too much miscommunication in the form of *lets just not communicate AT.ALL*.

Billionaire Romance - he invites her on his luxury yacht for an important business trip to St. Tropez. When out of earshot, his villainous business colleague tells her he asked her to WORK on the yacht, oh you didn't think he was asking you to GO with him, did you? Of course she lies and says no, why would she think that, he's not even her type. She's going because she needs the money (which she does). So of course villainous colleague tells him that she's going because she needs the money, she's not interested in him, he's not even her type. He's devastated. He's EVERYONE's type! Okay, I admit, he is a little :swoon: worthy. 
Miscommunication #2. She has a pouch she takes with her to the restroom several times per day and it has needles so of course that must mean she's a drug addict. NOPE, Type 1 Diabetic. She even wears a medical alert bracelet but he doesn't notice that until she passes out and he thinks its from whatever drugs she's on. EiYiYi. Once he finds out he is determine to do whatever it takes to make sure she has what she needs to monitor and gain control over her diabetes. See? :swoon: worthy.

Of course there is some family drama. Her passion is music. Her families interest is in becoming doctors. They cut her out of their lives when she drops out of medical school to pursue a music career. Will they come around? NO SPOILERS! 

This is a short novella but there is a LOT of information about T1D. It's important info if you or your friends/relatives are new to diabetes, but I would have also liked a little peak in on the beauty of St. Tropez.
