Carmen feels lost. The department store where she has worked until now is closing, and now she doesn't know what to do. She certainly doesn't want to move back home to her perfect sister Sofia in her perfect house with the perfect children and the absolutely perfect life in Edinburgh.

Sofia honestly doesn't want to welcome Carmen either. Her sister has always been sarcastic and uncompromising. But Sofia is expecting again, the bookstore is short of hands, and their mother's greatest wish is for the two sisters to get along better with each other. Maybe she should give Carmen a chance?

At Sofia's instigation, Carmen is soon swept into the daily grind of the old bookstore. However, it turns out that it will take a true Christmas miracle to get it back on track. Can Carmen surprise them all this Christmas? And can she mend the rift with the most important people in her life: her family?

Genre: Christmas, Romance, Fiction, Holiday, Chick Lit, Books About Books

Forget what I said about not going to do another🎄📚. This one came off hold and I can squeeze it in before the end of the year. That being said I still have a few others on hold so don't be surprised if there are 🎄📚 at Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, etc. etc. One that I'm really interested in isn't estimated to be available until JUNE!

Day 2 - 50% Cute story but its dragging on and on and on.
62% and I'm out...

⭐ I don't typically do reviews or stars if I DNF the book, however I'm giving this one star because the narration was great.

🎉 Overall Enjoyment? It started out enjoyable but then it was just more and more of the same.

🎣 Did it grab and keep my attention? It started off grabbing and then lost me.

🗣️Would I recommend it to anyone? No

🕮 Would I want a sequel? No

📚 Would I want to read more books by this author? Maybe 🤷

💣💥📢 📢Triᵷᵷer Warnings? Google says: Alc0h0lism, Griɇf, Body Shɐming, Parental Dɇath, Infidɇlity, some Pr0fanity/Sɇxuɐl Content.
Good Grief, all that in a "Sweet Cozy Holiday" story?!?!
Update: None of those things came into play by 62% when I bowed out. I think one F word but nothing enough for me say it should be TW. A little drinking and a little flirting.
Infidɇlity must occur later on in the book. I'm going to guess it's the perfect sister.

🌶 Spice? No

🌪 Plot Twist? Doubtful

👟Pace?  Started off good and then it was an uphill battle.

💻Tidbits ~ I think the author could have cut out half the content and made it a Novella.

🎧Eilidh Beaton - VERY GOOD. Would definitely listen to her again.
