This “snappily written, fast-paced, and witty” series starter (USA Today) introduces feisty out-of-work bounty hunter Stephanie Plum, who takes a job as an apprehension agent and winds up getting assigned to track down and arrest her former flame, an ex-cop charged with murder.

Genre: Fiction, Mystery, Fiction, Chick Lit, Crime, Romance

It's a crime mystery but supposed to be laugh-out-loud funny. Right up my alley (hopefully).

It's been suggested several times on a FB page. It's a series, One for the Money, Two for the Dough, Three to Get Deadly, and so on. One lady said (about the series): 
Three to Get Deadly had me laughing so hard I was crying and couldn't read! As soon as I stopped laughing I would dry my eyes and blow my nose, but as soon as I started reading where I left off, I'd start laughing and wheezing all over again. This went on several times before I could finally get past that one page! Stephanie and Lula together are freaking hilarious!

**Update, I'm at the 30% mark and so far, no LOL moments*

Meh. A solid average. It wasn't bad or I would not have finished it, but it didn't knock my socks off either. I'm probably going to listen to Two and Three at some point because I'm curious as to what was so funny in Three that the lady couldn't stop crying from laughing so hard.
